Friday News 1/27-1/31

We had a bit of a crazy week in 2nd grade with sickness going around. Thankfully we made it to the end of the week! Please rest up this weekend and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday. Here are a few announcements:

1. Monthly Bible Verse: See what amazing love the Father has given us! Because of it, we are called children of God. 1 John 3:1

2. On Tuesday, February 11th we will have no school for students. Please make sure to mark this on your calendar. We will have regular school on Monday and the rest of the week.

3. Valentine's Day is coming on Friday, February 14th. We will have a little party in class at the end of the day. If your student would like to bring Valentines to pass out to the class that would be great, but please make sure they have one for everyone in the class.

4. The week of February 24th-28th will be our Elementary Week of Reading. During one of these days we will have our annual Character Parade. On this day we ask students to dress up as one of their favorite book characters and bring that book to school with them. The K-2nd classes will then take a walk around the school to celebrate reading! If you have any questions please let me know. I will send out the date when I know more.
