We are getting excited for our Week of Reading next week! Most students have picked out a book for Character Parade so that they can work on their costume this weekend. Please remember that all students need to come dressed as a favorite character and bring the book to school on Tuesday.

Here is a reminder about the rest of the week:

Monday - bring a stuffed animal
Tuesday - Dress as a favorite book character. Our Character Parade will be at 8:45am. Parents are welcome to come and watch.
Wednesday - Sports Day
Thursday - Wear a shirt with words. We will also have our Family Reading Night from 5:00-6:00 starting in the cafeteria.
Friday - Pajama Day

Here is a look at our week:

Reading: We started learning about Main Idea which is what a story is mostly about. We read several short stories and worked together to find the main idea.

Bible: We are continuing to learn about Jesus' miracles. This week we learned how Jesus walked on the water and how He healed a man who was born blind.

Important Information:

1. Monthly Bible Verse: See what amazing love the Father has given us! Because of it we are called children of God. 1 John 3:1

2. We are working hard to keep each other healthy at school by washing our hands frequently and being careful when we cough our sneeze. Please encourage your child to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds (singing Happy Birthday song twice).
