Friday News 6/4-6/8

Only 3 1/2 more days of school! We are nearing the end, but the students kept working hard this week! Here's a look at what we did:

We had our Awards Chapel on Tuesday:

Japanese Awards:

P.E. Awards:

Library Awards:

Citizenship Awards and Perfect Attendance:

Reading: We have been reading a chapter book together called The Phoenix of Destiny. We continued reading that this week and almost finished!

Writing: This week we wrote comics with a partner. The students came up with character, a problem, and how their characters were going to try and solve the problem. They had fun illustrating their comics too.

Math: We learned about fractions and how to find the area of a shape. Then we took our last chapter math test.

Bible: We continued learning about the fruit of the Spirit. We learned about Kindness (I will be nice to everyone), Goodness (I will do what is right), and Faithfulness (I will not quit).

Important Information:

1. Our last day of school is Wednesday! We will be having a class party from 11:00-12:30. Your student does not need to bring a lunch on this day as we will have a potluck to celebrate. Parents are also welcome to come and join us!

2. If your child is attending summer school, please look in their Homework Folder to see who their teacher is and what supplies they need to bring with them.

3. We will be taking home all of our supplies next week, so please make sure your child brings their backpack with them to school.

Have a great weekend! :)
