Field Trip to the Aquarium

We had an awesome time at the aquarium today! Thank you to all the parents who came with us and helped!

Here's a peek at what our short week looked like:

Reading: In Reading this week we continued learning about Author's Purpose.  We learned that some authors write for the purpose of entertaining us.  We also had the chance to read some fun Dr. Seuss books.

Writing: This week we began our research unit.  We learned that research is searching for information about a topic.  Our first research project is about continents.  Each student picked a continent and each group started their research on Thursday.

Math: In Math we began Unit 9 on Fractions.  We took our pre-test and then started learning about basic fractions.

Bible: For Bible we learned about Jesus feeding 4000 people and healing a man who was blind from birth.  We learned that Jesus has power over blindness and that He has the ability to heal anyone.

Important Information:

1. Spelling words: close, brave, through, place, crash, clothes, threw, glad, flash, ground, traffic, prize, strange, drive, seen, become

2. Bible Memory Verse: "I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness. They will have light. They will have life." John 8:12
