Friday News 5/13-5/17

Here's a look at our week!

Reading: We continued comparing and contrasting different versions of a story. This week we focused on the story of Cinderella. We had fun reading the story from different perspectives and different interpretations.

Phonics: We learned some common prefixes and suffixes. We looked at how they change the meaning of a word.

Writing: We started another science experiment this week. In this experiment we predicted what would happen to different solids when we put them in water for a few days. We had solids such as mint, cardboard, cookies, rice, beans, and more. We observed what happened and wrote about it.

Math: We started our last chapter on shapes. This week we focused on 2D shapes and how many sides and angles they have.

Bible: We finished our unit on the early church by looking at Paul's life. We learned about Paul's missionary journeys and about his final journey to Rome.
