Friday News 3/27

We had a good week in 2nd grade! We welcomed a new student and continued working hard in our studies. Here's a look at our week:

Reading: We learned about Text Features. These are special parts of nonfiction books that help us find important information.

Writing: We started writing Nominations for our favorite books. Next week we will ask Miss Turner to pick the best Nominations and that book will win an award.

Math: We learned our 3D shapes this week. We also continued to practice the names of our 2D shapes.

Bible: We learned about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. We learned that Jesus died because He loves us and so that we could be with God again.

Important Information:

1. Memory Verse: "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13
We will have our Memory Verse Test on Monday.
