Friday News 5/6-5/10

Here's a look at our week:

Reading: This week we focused on comparing and contrasting different versions of the same story. We read several different versions of Little Red Riding Hood and then on Friday we told what parts were the same and what parts were different.

Writing: At the beginning of the week we finished our bridges and got to test them. We wanted to see if they could hold 10 wooden blocks. We had a lot of fun testing them and thinking about how to make our bridges even better. Then we looked at our writing to see what we could make even better.

Math: We continued learning how to measure. On Friday we had a Measurement Olympics. We had eight different events in which we estimated and measured how far the base-ten block would go.

Bible: This week we learned about Saul becoming a follower of Jesus. We also learned about Peter preaching the good news of Jesus to the Gentiles. We learned that the message of Jesus is for everyone, not just the Jewish people. We also learned the story of how God saved Peter from prison.
