Here's a look at our week:
Reading: This week we learned about Cause and Effect. We played several games to match the cause and effect and read some books. We will continue learning about this next week.
Math: We continued learning about three-digit subtraction. We learned how to borrow from the hundreds place, how to borrow twice, and how to borrow across zeros. Next week we will take our test.
Bible: This week we learned about Jesus raising a widow's son from the dead, calming a storm, and healing a man who was possessed by demons. We learned that Jesus has power over death, storms, and demons.
Kid City: We learned about the Bank. We practiced cashing a check and making a deposit.

3. We have now entered the 2nd half of the year. Please check with your student to make sure they have enough school supplies for the rest of the year (pencils, erasers, whiteboard markers). Thank you!
4. Our 2nd grade field trip to the Aquarium will be on Friday, March 22nd. More information will be coming soon.
5. WEEK OF READING is coming soon (2/18-2/22)! We will spend the whole week celebrating books!
Monday: We love reading with stuffies! Bring a stuffed animal to school.
Tuesday: We love reading our favorite books! Come dressed up as your favorite character (k-2 Character Parade).
Wednesday: We love reading Dr. Seuss books! Wear a hat.
Thursday: We love reading with a buddy! Wear a shirts with words.
Friday: We love reading in our pajamas! Wear pajamas to school.
