Reading: We learned how to retell a story. We looked for the characters, setting, beginning, middle, and end of each story we read.
Writing: We worked on writing a good lead, or beginning, to our stories. We also started learning about dialogue. We learned how to punctuate dialogue and tried to add some to our stories.
Math: We learned about equal groups and arrays this week.
Science: We learned about the life cycle of a butterfly! We also got to observe a chrysalis and a butterfly!
Bible: We continued learning about Moses. We learned how God saved the Israelites from Egypt and how God helped them pass through the Red Sea on dry land.
Important Information:
1. Our Field Trip to the Butterfly Garden is on Monday, October 7th. If you have not sent in the permission slip, please do so by next Wednesday.
2. Our new monthly Bible verse is: Kind words are like honey. They are sweet to the spirit and bring healing to the body. Proverbs 16:24
